Disconnecting from QuickBooks
How to revoke the Automation application's access to the Gray Rae Corp QuickBooks Online company.
From within the application
- Sign in to the Automation application using your authorized account.
- Open the Connection page.
- Choose Disconnect from QuickBooks and confirm.
The application immediately discards the authorization it holds and stops making requests to Intuit.
From your Intuit account
Access can also be revoked directly at Intuit, which works even if the application is unavailable:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an administrator of the company.
- Open the Apps section and select My Apps.
- Find Automation in the list and choose to disconnect it.
What happens next
- The authorization held by the application stops working immediately and is discarded.
- The application can no longer read from or write to the QuickBooks Online company.
- No changes are made to the accounting records in QuickBooks Online. Anything already recorded there stays exactly as it is.
- Accounting data previously retrieved and held by the application is retained or deleted according to the privacy policy. To request its deletion, contact the address below.
Disconnecting is reversible. The application can be reconnected at any time by an authorized user. See Connecting to QuickBooks.
